I saw this on apartment therapy, but I give original credit to Rearranged Design for this controversial transformation of a knock off Eames chair.

I love the way this looks, even though to me it is sacrilege to mess with an Eames chair.  However, I think it’s ok to mess with a knock off.  Mainly because, well, it’s already a knock off and acceptable to mess with a fake.

If this were a real Eames chair I would be shocked into a coma, but I think it’s cutesy enough to work in a hippy chic room.

FYI, the chair is covered in a Guatemalan hammock from a thrift store.

So have at it.  Go out and DIY your own.
